Explore the amalfi coast in a week

Hello, I am planning to explore the amalfi coast next month. I'm gonna arribe to Naples first, I was thinking about starting on Sorrento and get Positano first, so, my questions are: What is the best or fast way to get Sorrento and then Positano? Is it safety to go around and stay in the coast cities?

Hi Marcelo... there are few ways to get to Sorrento from Naples: 1.by Circumvesuviana train railway. 2.by bus,(there is a bus stop just outside the train station.) 3.by Ferry. I think obviously the firsts are the cheapest and easiest to grab.(so it takes about 1hour). Any how when u'll be in Sorrento, you'll notice the differents about a jumble city as Naples and a fisherman town as Sorrento. Unfortunately There is no train route which runs along the Amalfi Coast, so the only public transportation by land is the bus. There are also ferry routes stopping at Positano, Amalfi and Salerno. Hi Marcelo from Napoli you can also use a faster train in the name of Campania Express from Garibaldi/Napoli Centrale railway station (eavsrl.it). To go to Positano you can take a regular bus or touristic one outside the terminal of railway in Sorrento (the typical red sightseeing bus).
You can also arrive to Sorrento from the Naples port by hydrofoil (35 minutes) . Cities coast are safe, no problem indeed, but Naples too unless you walk with a gold rolex. (but you would run risk even in other international cities)
