What's Webster Groves like?
I'm interested in the neighborhood and would like a local's perspective.

I'm sure you've visited the towns webpage and you done a google earth search.
Webster Groves is a mom and pop soccer town just like Walnut Creek in Northern California. It has a wonderful live theatre where many well known celeb actors have graduated from. It's close enough to the highways and neighboring water parks. Local well known eateries, lots of active professionals (jogging, biking and walking), local ice skating complex amd lots of parks.
It has a seminary, private all girls school, public school district. Is it a walking town? Not really. Im used to the old downtown where the restaurants are located on one little strip.
It'sa who you know town. It's small enough and friendly. With a train stop for Amtrak (which is unusual).
It's a nice middle, upper- middle class neighborhood.
It's a beautiful, posh neighborhood.
It got a Starbucks a few years ago. No Wholefoods but it has Straubs a fine grocery store.
Here are a couple videos.

Although there are a couple of old train stations in Webster, the actual Amtrak station is in Kirkwood, the next town over. There are two Metrolink (local mass transit) stations nearby, one in Shrewsbury and the other at Sunnen in Maplewood.
One of the wealthy neighborhoods. Nice architecture, clean and safe, but mostly residential.
