10 days winter hike starting from Thun. Any advice for a nice multiple days hike? We have tents & warm clothes.

Hi there! It’s about to get really cold now, so please make sure you have the proper gear if you’re planning on sleeping in a tent. Wild camping is forbidden in Switzerland, so I’d suggest looking for SAC huts if you’re up in the alps or youth hostels if you’re further down. What type of hike are you looking for? What gear do you have?
Hey Wannes! around at what elevations are you planing to hike/sleep? There is a lot of snow (currently everywhere above 1500m). A tent is not ideal for sleeping in snow, i totally agree with Francesca, you might need to consider sleeping in SAC hut or similar places. Or are you familiar with bivying in snow? cheers :)
Hi I have to agree with the previous comments. (Ground rules, cold...) Consider huts Warm cloths is not enough if sleeping outside. You need appropriate gear. The temperature in an igloo might be warmer than in a tent!! Igloo building needs some knowledge and experience. And also be careful if going into steep train: avalanches. Inform yourself and inform others where you go.
But generally, the Gantrisch region is very nice, has some nice trails and is not too alpine.
Have fun
Hey all you you kind people,
Thank you for your answers :) Of course, due to our very good planning we were already engaged on our hike when we got them. Meantime we're back in Belgium.
As a debriefing, I would say that you where all very right :) Hiking the snowy mountains with a tent and not much gear but warm clothes is far from ideal. But it is adventurous and fun. So yes, we didn't sleep more than a few hours every night, and yes our feet where kind of frozen all day, and yes we where sinking in the snow up to our knees every step... BUT we also made our own snowshoes with braided branches, we had fires going all night long, and we've seen lots of animals.
We had a very good time! Wannes
