Hey there! We're a group of 3 college-age friends (two guys and a girl) that are hoping to take one or two more people with us as we explore the mountainsides and national parks of Northern and Western Colorado from August 9th to August 16th. We have some pretty exciting things planned out: *Backpacking at Steamboat Springs - http://www.steamboatchamber.com/events-activities/activities/fish-creek-falls - https://waa.ai/fishcreekfalls-07302017 *Camping at Thunder Basin Grasslands - https://waa.ai/thunder-basin-07302017 *Spelunking and cave exploring at the South Fork Spring Cave - https://www.freearenas.com/spring-cave-near-meeker-colorado.html - https://waa.ai/spring-cave-07302017 *Tube rafting on the Yamba River - http://www.steamboatchamber.com/business-directory/list/sub-category/221 *Scoping out prehistoric fossils and paleontology quarries at Dinosaur National Park - https://www.nps.gov/dino/planyourvisit/fossildiscoverytrail.htm - https://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/utah-field-house/ *Perusing the Cowboy and Gunfighter exhibit at the Museum of Northwestern Colorado - http://www.museumnwco.org/cowboy_collection *Visiting a Native American Tribe and Casino - http://www.mesaverdecountry.com/see-do/archaeology/anasazi-heritage-center/ - http://www.colorado.com/casino/ute-mountain-casino-hotel *visiting the Colorado 'coffee shops' (you know what I mean. we may or we may not.) *...and even some Xbox Castle Crashers when we're all feeling too drained to move! While the above list isn't set in stone, it should give you a good idea of what we're putting together, we've already arranged for a car rental for the course of the week. Couple of things to keep in mind? You'll need to be in at least average physical shape since most of our activities are going to be outdoors related. Also, we'll be splitting costs and you'll be expected to pitch in upfront ($250ish?), but expenses will be carefully tracked with a fine-tooth comb and any monies that are owed back will be paid back upon the completion of the trip. THANKS AND CONTACT ME IF YOU'RE INTERESTED --Barb
