Dear all,
let's start spring (or finish the winter ;) with an early February Saturday afternoon hike: We will go up and around the Heiligenberg. On our way I intend to show you some historical sites north of the Neckar river: Of course - but not only - the (in)famous Thingstätte together with the ruins of the Stephans- & Michaels monastery. We will also pass places and viewpoints which can tell us sth about the story of the region's natural history and geology.
With breaks, I expect it will take us around 3-4 hours to complete the hike. The length requires some stamina, but as there isn't much steep uphill, it should be manageable for most hikers.
What to bring: weather appropriate attire, water, snacks, good shoes (ideally hiking shoes with good ankle support as a few of the paths are uneven. Sport shoes are the second best option).
If you have any questions, let me know.
All the best, Carsten
