Hey everybody! This event is for anybody who enjoys independent/art-house/experimental films & is craving a bit of social stimulation. This film club is a great way to meet like-minded peeps from all over the planet! First, we'll meet up at a premium cafe/cake shop located next to the cinema so we can meet & get acquainted with each other before entering the cinema. Once we have a crew, we can stay put or indulge our senses around Little Italy—the place where Melbourne's famous cafe culture was born. It's OK if you're on a tight budget because you don't have to buy anything to enjoy this area. Next, we'll see a movie (TBA one week prior) at Cinema Nova: Melbourne's largest & most vibrant art-house cinema complex. All tickets are half price on Monday—$9 in person/$10 online. After the movie, we can go to a nearby pub or restaurant where we can hang out & discuss the movie together. This event is ideal for roughly 15 people. Feel free to come alone or bring friends, but everyone is required to book tickets in advance & confirm their party’s attendance in the comments. Include your seat number(s) so we can try sticking together in the theatre. Look for the table outside of Brunetti/group sitting down with the CS sign. If you're late, we may have moved away from the meeting spot so arriving on time is important. Purchasing your ticket(s) in advance will also ensure your attendance because the tickets can sell out.
