I own a camp just outside the city of Tabuk, where I work as an Engineer with my family.
In Tabuk for a while, there is an extra room in my apartment for hosting. Welcome anyone!! NOT HERE FOR DATING! I DO NOT ACCEPT HOST REQUESTS OR HANG OUT REQUESTS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A COMPLETE PROFILE AND REFERENCES. Hello everybody!!! It is never easy to describe ourselves in few words and in such a small space but will give it a try ! My name is Maria Luisa, I was born and raised in Italy but I simply consider myself a world citizen. I am a positive person, always cheerful and enthusiastic about life. I am in love with animals and nature. I love being around open-minded people especially those who live life without being touched by the standards of this society, those who love travelling, learning new cultures, eating good food and sharing their life experiences. I am also a very curious person which makes me always ready to learn more. I have been woking and living in different countries and I try to do my best to keep moving and exploring despite the social pressure of having to settle down. I remind myself everyday that we only have one life and we must always live it to the fullest. Travelling is one of my passions and with time I realized that are the people I meet along the way to make a difference in my journey. I am curious about cultures and different ways of thinking and living, I belive that is a great way to broaden our mind and views. Food is another passion of mine, I like to try local food wherever I go and live like the locals do. My motto is: If something good happens, travel to celebrate it. If something bad happens, travel to forget it. If nothing happens, travel to make something happen.
I eventually realized that travel had become harmful to me. Seneca expressed this insight perfectly in Letter XXVIII: On Travel as a Cure for Discontent: "Are you surprised, as if it were a novelty, that after such long travel and so many changes of scene you have not been able to shake off the gloom and heaviness of your mind? You need a change of soul rather than a change of climate." His words described my experience with unsettling accuracy. I was running away from two things. The first was myself. I was avoiding the difficult work of personal growth—confronting my problems, developing my abilities, and discovering how to use my multiple talents. Deep down, I knew my strengths, skills, and potential, but I was too complacent to cultivate them. Travel became a comforting distraction, a way to numb myself instead of facing the work I needed to do. The second was my dissatisfaction with my career. Traveling during vacations became an escape from a professional life that no longer fulfilled me. Ever since childhood, I had dreams. When I graduated from high school, I dreamed of becoming a writer and a martial arts athlete. Yet I lacked the confidence and courage to pursue those ambitions openly. Instead, I followed the path that society expected of me and chose to study medicine. Even then, I secretly continued chasing my dreams. I wrote and self published a novelette, but it sold poorly. During medical school, I also discovered that my interests extended far beyond medicine. I explored art, experimented with filmmaking, and realized that I was a capable and inspiring public speaker who could connect with audiences through spontaneous speech. After graduating from medical school, I decided to take a gap year. I began working remotely as a creative copywriter, hoping to prove that passion could also provide a livelihood. But instead of dedicating myself fully to my dreams, another distraction appeared—what I mistakenly believed was yet another passion: travel. From 2018 onward, I traveled extensively and gradually became addicted to the lifestyle. I began as a typical tourist, but over time my approach evolved. Eventually, I discovered Couchsurfing, where I found something far more meaningful than sightseeing: genuine connections with local people and cultures. At the end of 2024, I met a fellow traveler, and we got married. We continued traveling together, creating unforgettable memories along the way. Then I stopped and reflected on the path I had taken. I remain deeply grateful for every journey and every experience. Travel broadened my perspective, introduced me to remarkable people, and enriched my life in countless ways. But I also realized that it had become a refuge from responsibilities I needed to embrace. It was time to stop escaping—from reality, and from myself. It was time to build a clear vision, commit to a meaningful mission, and devote my energy to work that serves humanity while allowing me to become the person I was always meant to be. I love meeting new people, and if given the choice between staying overnight at their place or just spending time meeting them, I would always choose meeting them. If I reach out to you about staying over, my main goal isn't just to have a place to sleep—it's to get to know you and build a lasting friendship in every country I visit. And please know that if you ever decide to visit my city, my home and my time will always be open to you nterests & Lifestyle Nature & Outdoors: Deep appreciation for nature, with a particular affinity for waterfalls and the sense of peace they bring. Exploration and being out and about are top priorities when traveling, with a preference for accessible activities over long hikes or high-risk adventures. Travel Philosophy Living in the Moment: Prioritizing genuine presence over taking photos. Forgoing pictures adds a layer of warmth to future reunions, allowing people to authentically rediscover one another's faces as memory nuances fade over time

I work as a tour guide in my region but always I enjoy talking to my guests more than my clients, I feel the conversation and connection are more deep. I started hosting on 2019 and I understood it more after first guest, helping others is the fastest way to feel happiness. Best part of hosting or being a guest is that you will live an honest experience with a true local.

"Hi, I’m Ahtasham from Pakistan. 🌍 Travel to me isn’t just about visiting new places; it’s about the people I meet along the way. I’m a curious explorer at heart, deeply fascinated by how diverse our world is. Whether it’s the local food, unique customs, or the way people live their daily lives, I’m always eager to learn from others’ experiences and perspectives. I’m a firm believer that everyone has a story to tell, and I love listening to them. I’m a very social and easy-going person, and I’ve been told that I connect with people quite naturally. On a more personal note, I’m someone who values deep connections. I tend to get attached to people quickly, which makes me cherish every interaction I have. I’m a very respectful, tidy, and considerate guest, and I always make sure to be mindful of my host’s space and time. If you’re looking for a friendly, open-minded traveler who’s genuinely interested in your culture and story, I’d love to connect. I promise to be a great guest and an even better conversationalist!" Spoiler, we die in the end!
