Estoy disfrutando muchísimo de esto! Hi! I’m Charbel, originally from Lebanon. I’ve been traveling for over 15 years and have lived in Canada, India, and now Portugal, where I’ve been living for the past 7 years. I work in real estate and also teach theater improv in Lagos. I love meeting people from different cultures, which is why I enjoy both hosting and being hosted through Couchsurfing. I’m easygoing, respectful, tidy, and I love cooking especially Lebanese food. I’d be happy to prepare a homemade meal for you as a thank-you for hosting. Moving to Lebanon. Crecí en Madrid. Fui a la universidad en París y Lyon (Francia), me doctoré en Oxford, trabajé en Groningen y Berlín, tras lo cual volví a España y me establecí en Almería un tiempo. Dejé la investigacion, trabajé como ornitólogo en cruceros, en la Antártida y el ártico. Ahora quiero dedicarme a escribir y viajar por un tiempo. Me gusta hacer vela, caminar, leer, reír y tomar una copa de vino al anochecer. No tengo un sitio que pueda llamar casa, así que de momento no puedo ofrecer alojamiento. I grew up in Madrid, did my university studies in Paris and Lyon (France), my PhD in Oxford, worked in Groningen and Berlin, after which I moved back to Spain (Almeria). After almost 20 years in Almería, I quit my research position to work as ornithologist on cruise ships, mainly in Svalbard and Antarctica. Now I want to focus in writing. I love sailing and hiking, reading, a good laugh and a glass of wine in the evening. I don't have a place that I can call home, so I cannot host you at the moment.

I absolutely love DIY projects, working with my hands, and the freedom of being on the road. Alongside my vanlife adventures, I’m currently doing my PhD and working as a trauma-sensitive coach.
