My name is Timoteo Galia, I'm Italian and I live in Sardinia with my wife Elena and our four children: two boys (20 and 19) and two girls (14 and 9), as well as a dog. We're new to CouchSurfing, but we've used other platforms and gained experience as hosts, building our profile with consistently excellent ratings, as you can see in the photos. We've had the pleasure of hosting many people, including couples, friends, and adventurous single travelers, and they've all become our friends. Through other platforms, we've also had the opportunity to be hosted by wonderful people, often families, with whom we've had a wonderful time. I work as an electronics engineer (I have my own company, meteotracker). I love mountain hiking, cycling, and living in harmony with nature, respecting it. In recent years, we've taken family cycling trips to France, the Netherlands, and Tuscany. Recently, I've been traveling alone with my 18-year-old son, Samuele. Two years ago, we cycled the Alpe-Adria cycle path from Salzburg to Venice, crossing the Alps, and last summer we cycled the Eurovelo 15. We travel by sleeping in tents when we can't find a host. We enjoy traveling and getting to know the locals; we never stay in hotels. We enjoy meeting like-minded people and exchanging ideas. I speak English, French, and a little German. I love trees. I tend a small plot of land that belonged to my grandfather, in the mountains of Sardinia, where I grow broad beans, peas, potatoes, and vegetables using permaculture methods, and I care for several fruit trees.

ciao ragazzi 👋 temporarily back in the city and always happy to meet someone I have traveled over 3 years not consecutively as solo backpack with Worldpackers/Workaway/CS, and it's been extraordinary! now that I'm back, I still love to use CS to meet travelers as this brings me back to that atmosphere 🌏🌎🗺️ I would like to host in Cagliari but can't 😕 at times I can host in a town (near Ales) 1 hour far from the city why CS I use CS as a mean to really meet new people, at times just having a different day, at times developing some sort of deep relation (depends by the context and the will of both of us), driven by a genuine interest about many things far from my ordinary life. **UPDATE FROM 1ST APRIL 2017** I'm now leaving Cagliari to continue sailing around the Mediterranean for another year or so.
