HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I've been fortunate enough to host all kinds of travelers in my home in Portland OR. Mostly people I had met from backpacking and working in hostels, or met through Hospitality Club. After discovering CouchSurfing, I was hooked on the idea of a community so ambitious and active. As a serial traveler, I think it's fantastic idea. I've donated to CS, and hope to become very active in participation and cordination/volunteering in Portland. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE A few summers past I surfed with several AMAZING folks while doing the Trans-Siberian. I stayed with great people in Russia, Mongolia, Beijing and Tokyo. These experiences, and these people changed me profoundly. Presently life is in a state of flux, but I look forward to opening my couch once more.
