CURRENT MISSION To travel as impulsively as possible and to meet surprising and thoughtful people. ABOUT ME I have a shamefully low tolerance for doing touristy things (I actually am ashamed of this) so have been trying to figure out how to travel the way I DO like. For right now, this means lots of walking in nature, learning as many languages as I come across, and meeting people in their element. PHILOSOPHY I think its good to live deeply rather than largely. Also, I fully stand behind every mistake I've ever made. Finally, shake hands with a firm grasp and people will take you seriously.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just joined Couchsurfing, and I am traveling now, but when I return home to Canada and find a place to live, I will be so so excited to help people discover and enjoy St. John's. Its a city with so much to offer if you just get to know it. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE NONE! First time.

My skills are all of the academic, vague kind, but I have experience talking about and helping people with their writing and all writing processes (from thinking about an idea to drafting and editing). I make passable blended soups and have quite a lot of climbing experience. I'm interested in learning more Spanish and Russian, and pretty much anything else.
