* I'm on holiday until mid June - no more requests til after then please * I'm an emerging filmmaker from New Zealand. I grew up with her four siblings (two brothers and two sisters) in Banks Peninsula, Christchurch. My home is now near the wild beaches of West Auckland. When I'm not making or watching movies I usually: Write; travel; op shop; hang with my cat; contemplate making a start on my overdue taxes; garden! We have a tropical paradise of all the fruit and nut trees that we can squeeze onto the property! PASSION: Experiencing other cultures and tasting and seeing things from another perspective. I have a 9-4pm job (I work part time) and so travel allows me escape from routine and the chance to connect with like-minded people. PHILOSOPHY "We are what we think. To offer a real local home to travellers from other cities and other countries. Because I believe that opening your home to others should not just be a financial transaction. And because I travel a lot myself, and I know how expensive it can be!! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've stayed in about 4 countries via Couch Surfing and have been so fortunate to meet so many kind people. My first couchsurfing I stayed with the loveliest girl in Madagascar, what a great welcome to a strange and wonderful country! I also like to host, although please ask early, as often our spare room is full of visiting friends and family!
