CURRENT MISSION Learn to be am awesome farmer and take care of myself, my family and my community. ABOUT ME My husband and I recently moved out to Kings Valley in Oregon. We love it here and also love traveling. I work for one of our local organic farms and sell produce at our farmer's market. PHILOSOPHY I am involved in the organic farming movement and trying to save the world in that manor. I believe education is the tool that gives people the power to change their lives for the better.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING When I was on my semester in NZ and the through the rest of my travels last year I spent more wonderful time couchsurfing then doing any other activity. I have hosted a number of people in Covallis and have enjoyed getting around town with folks to show them where I live. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Has been lovely! I hosted a most fabulous gentleman before I left home for my year long traveling adventure and have couchsurfed in Australia several times and once in South Korea where I saw a tiny, tiny washing machine built right into the kitchen! Who would have thought that was possible? I also have been hosted in New Zealand by a pair of crazy kids who played tag with me in a park. There were only three of us so the running was a tad like excessive but we had a great time.

Darwin's the Voyage of the Beagle, The Principles of Soil Science. Sometimes I tote around history books on world politics but my reading of them is slow at best. I also enjoy music of all kinds and like taking myself out for dates to the movies.

I like tea, food preservation, driving tractors, hiking in the woods, foraging for fruits and wild mushrooms, organic farming, reading novel adventure books. I also want to learn to fish this summer in Alaska.
