I am still house-sharing & the roomies are not so much in favor of couchsurfing considering that couples bringing home their +1 already make the place quite crowded ... Because I think happiness and traveling are only true when shared. Discovering a country is not all about seeing and visiting. I think it is better to experience and feel the country. So best way is meeting people. One will tell you about this, one will make your memories. I think staying with locals and getting to know the way of life, the everyday life makes a meaningful trip.
