books-anything by Tom Clancy, Dostoevsky (I want to say Tolstoy but I can't), or Lermontov. music-any and everything that's good this includes: Eric Clapton, K'naan, The Urge, Stevie Wonder (and the rest of Motown),Nappy Roots, country music for drinking (Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, George Strait) Oasis, The Clash,Lynyrd Skynyrd. The list is always growing so please recommend anything you think fits the list (remember to fit the list it only needs to be good) movies-Almost Famous, Saving Private Ryan, Wayne's World, brat 2 (Brother 2), Road House, Robin Hood (Disney Errol Flynn, and Prince of Thieves) and anything people recommend.

after being stopped by the cops in Rostov, the crime capital of southern Russia, I wasn't asked for a bribe or made to pay a fine or ticket, the cops even looked in my wallet so they knew i had cash. I was so surprised and shocked, that i offered to buy them a beer as a way of saying thanks for not robbing me but they said no.

I have so far found nothing that compares to vodka with the locals in front of the hermitage and then walking home down Nevsky prospect at 4 in the morning, but my current life is coming pretty close.

I live for hockey, baseball, good music and good people. I also enjoy vinyl (records), mountain biking, skiing, cooking, pizza, having a lazy day with my dogs, writing crappy music/poetry, and drinking vodka.
