Hey I'm Johannes, born in '86 in Germany (Franconia - Not Bavaria!!) I graduated in '07, refused the military service and joined the RedCross as an EMT instead. Started studying civil engineering in Nurenburg after that. took me some time to finish my master degree since i've been working part time as a lab engineer at the university. Now I work in a engineering firm and do the design for infrastructural Projekts. (mostly in Germany, but now also Afrika) I love the outdoors, i go hiking, cycling, mountaineering. I play the guitar. Right now im pretty occupied with my voluntary work with the "engineers without borders" were we are planning and funding projects to help lesser advanced comminities all over the world in building up their own infrastructure (water-sanitation-hygiene-energy). Since I'm living in Germanys-Beer-vana, drinking it is one of the occupational hazards....

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
During my time in Israel I came into touch with Couchsurfing though my flatmate. I liked the idea, but never had a good room to share since I lived in a student dorm at these times. I still signed up though.
音乐、电影与书籍
puh, thats tough. I liked the Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings stuff, both movies & books. Game of Thrones also. There are some other books I loved, but they are German, so I don't think they are very popular outside of Germany. Books about mountaineers and their adventures is what i definetly love reading. And "Into the Wild" of course - who doesnt
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
Hiking in Nepal. "need......to.......breathe............"
我能与房东分享的
If you want to meet up - I can show you a bit of the Nurenberg or the lovely hilly land around it. There are some sporty climbing routes there, if you would like to try that. And Pubs, of course. German Pubs with Schäufele (=big part of a pigs shoulder, completely with the bone and a crust to die for. served with "Klöße" round fluffy potato balls - the side salad is just for show)
我的兴趣
I'm a bit of a cyclist. Sometimes I do road races (nothin serious, just amateur races). Mounaineering (Rock climbing, indoor bouldering, and some tours in the german or Austrian alps) is the next thing I do love, though I don't find as much time for it then I would like to. Music used to be a big thing for me, I play guitar and did sing quite a lot (campfire guitarist *g*) but nowadays I just keep playing for myself. Since I'm German, Beer is definetly a big interest, so hanging around in Pubs and having a good beer is one of the best after work activity there is.
