I think it's time for a profile update... Several years ago, I used Couchsurfing ALL THE TIME. I rarely use it now, but I'm up for hosting anyone who wants to stay in a neighborhood less frequented by tourists! I can also take anyone who stays with me to the ranch where I work with horses Monday to Friday (but we can also go on weekends). Plus, I'm a great tour guide — or, at the least, I can provide you with suggestions if I'm too busy to go with you. I have a lot going on during the weekdays, but weekends are easier. And I still definitely love to surf. It's such a great way to meet people and experience the local culture, especially when I'm traveling alone (I get kinda bored).

I've surfed a ton and hosted some great people, too. Although the site has undergone a major transformation since I joined, I know there are still plenty of people who share the original philosophy and want to immerse themselves in another culture — not just freeload.

I train in eventing and do horse trekking. When I'm not training, working (writing), or studying, I love reading and listening to podcasts. Obviously, traveling is also a huge passion.
