HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I've hosted a few people so far and enjoyed them all. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've hosted most and had a great time with everybody.

I love stories, real or imagined, in literature, in music, in movies. I feel lucky to be a literature teacher as I get to spend most of my days discussing books with curious intelligent kids. I'm always looking for recommendations for new books and love to spend time discussing books. There is so much I like, fiction and non-fiction: Mahfouz, Marquez, Murakami... I like to read travel, history, politics, anthropology,anything as long as it's well-written.One book which inspired me to travel was 'In Patagonia'. Read it. I'm particulary fond of some movies by Hithcock, Powell and Pressburger, David Lean and Stanley Kubrick. Rear Window, A Matter of Life and Death, and Dr Zhivago are some of my favourite movies. Other faves include Withail and I, Apocalypse Now, I Heart the Huckabees, the Big Lebowski, Monty Python... As for music, I like most about everything!
