CURRENT MISSION See the world as cheaply as possible and make friends along the way ABOUT ME I recently graduated from UNC and I'm taking a year off before gong to grad school for sociolinguistics. I love languages and love to travel! I hugely believe that you get a much richer experience in your travels if you can speak (or attempt at least) the language there, so I would love to meet locals and practice speaking. I love trying new things and food! PHILOSOPHY I will try most anything once and I believe that everyone and every place has something to offer. Take every opportunity to learn.

I felt pretty accomplished when I had to buy a cell phone plan in Sicily for my stay in Italy using my then-rudimentary level Italian haha The most beautiful sight I've ever seen was the Roman theater in Taormina, Sicily, situated between the sea and the mountains, with Mt. Etna in the background. Words can't describe.
