CURRENT MISSION To have as much fun as possible!!!! ABOUT ME All about me? Wow, that's a tough one! 'K, I like to chat, read, go to movies/theatre and listen to good music. I like camping, hiking and being in or close to beautiful mountains. I think I'm kind of friendly. :) OK, I am friendly. I care a lot about people and love spending time with people. But then again, I'm kind of good and happy spending time by myself as well. Not too much though. I think I may be on the verge of crazy at times, but in a good way. Not in a scary - you need to run for your life- way at all. :) Does that sound weird? I really don't want to scare you guys... ;) Now I've met all the CS'ers, I LOVE spending time with them. Our camping trips are loads of fun. I feel strong about development of less fortunate communities and I hate racism! PHILOSOPHY Respect for myself and other people. Don't get to comfortable and settled in one way of living - I need challenges to grow within myself. And then, never reach the point that I say, now I have grown, seen or done enough - NEVER!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Well, I would love to show visitors around Perth, once I get to know it. I just came here from South-Africa, and need to get to know the place. But wouldn't mind to go exploring with some visitors/locals. I already know where there's great second hand book shops! So far, I can participate by being a friendly face that will explore the place with you... :) COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Oooohhh. I just saw the last time I wrote here I didn't have any CS'ing experience. A lot has happened after that. :) Met people in Freo for all kinds of drinks - coffee, beer, beer and I think, oh my!, more beer. (Really, I'm not an alcoholic, I just love my beer...) Went to a Wave Rockin' Weekend, a Al Cabello Rodeo (HEEEEPAAAAA!), a Blues Weekend in Bridgetown, a Doof-doof etc, etc, etc. I really love all the fun stuff these people put me up to! The Perth bunch is really an active, happy-go-lucky kind of group...
音乐、电影与书籍
Music: Wow, a lot. Alternative, Metal (but NOT death metal), folk (Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie etc), classical (the 3 big B's are my faviorate: Bach, Beethoven and Brahms), the stuff that I can't classify, like Xavier Rudd, Iron and Wine, Ali Farka Toure, Beatles etc. Oh, and don't forget rock... And alternative Afrikaans music as well. If you're interested, I can always introduce you to some really awesome Afrikaans music. Would love the world to hear some more of that! Books: Eat, pray, love by Elizabeth Gilbert. The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield, John Steinbeck (most of his books are exellent!), Roald Dahl (I'm not even sure I spelt that correctly...) Jonothan Livingstone Seagull by R. Bach, The Catcher in the Rye, JD Sallinger. His short stories are mind blowing. Etc. etc. etc. I can't possibly name it all. LOVE to read... Movies: Amelie, Three Colours (Red, blue, white), Into the Wild
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
The most recent amazing thing is a week trip on a motorcycle with my boyfriend. We took all the back roads and saw communties that we didn't even know existed. We stayed off the highways and just explored. I will upload some photo's in a week or two, so please have a look... One of the most amazing things about the trip was that I (a girl!) packed in a very teeny-weeny sidepack - get this - for a whole week!!! It was totally worth it... :)

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on which side I'm looking at, I'm not currently in South Africa. I know a moderate (because it is impossible to know everything, especially of a country with so many cultures) amount of tips for people who want to visit SA. Please contact me if you have any questions about places to see, safety, places to stay etc. I've got lots of contacts and have seen quite a lot. I would recommend any- and everyone to visit SA. I know it's sometimes dangerous, but it's beautiful. Plus, I can give you a lot of tips that will help make your journey safer and more enjoyable.

Reading: The last book I've read is eat, pray, love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I can really recommend that to anyone. Especially if you like travelling and introspection... Camping: Close to, or preferably in, any beautiful mountain. Hiking as well. But please, no running! I'm not an exercise freak, just love nature... Philosophising: Like to argue my side, and then listen to the other persons side (or vice versa). About anything. I like a challenge. And defending my Midget Saffa Status... :)
