ABOUT ME An introvert pretending to be an extrovert. Sometimes shy around new people, extremely comfortable among friends. Meeting new people fascinates me, and although I likely will never remember your name, I'll always remember who you are... I'm an anti-thrill-seeker who puts himself in situations that push me past my fears; if my gut says I'm too scared, but my brain knows it's safe, I ignore the gut. PHILOSOPHY I like to experience what there is to experience, and at the same time I try to help others in various ways; give back what I can to compensate for an already fantastic life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Donated my time to the New Zealand couchsurfing collective, and I open my couch when I can. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Had a great couchsurfing experience in Honolulu, Hawaii a couple of years ago. Took a hiatus, but finally did some surfing again while I was traveling New Zealand recently. Apparently the 3 people that have stayed with me (no, I haven't hosted much) have neglected to leave reviews.. so you'll never know how bad it is to stay with me ;)

I come from a family of couch-sitters, not surfers; so everything seems amazing to me. Hiking to the peaks of yosemite, trekking through switzerland, drinking with the locals in victoria; it's all good times
