CURRENT MISSION Searching for happiness, ocasionally finding it too! ABOUT ME I'm a 50-something guy just working and traveling and trying to have a good time. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've hosted surfers, and surfed a few couches now, so I can see both sides.

I'm not a big reader, and I don't live for music. I like the 80's stuff and what's on the radio now. I'm not a fan of Rap or Hip Hop, but don't care if you are. I like movies but don't get to see them much these days, too busy working. That's weird I guess, as I work in the film business.

I climbed a volcano in Guatemala, peered over the edge and the next thing I knew it was launching glowing red rocks over my head and they were raining down all around. As I ran for safety, I was dodging not only flying magma, but red hot rocks landing on the ground, and try not to step on them as I fled. That was exciting!

Some day I want to retire to Mexico, or maybe Guatemala. I admire the laid back lifestyle. I took a class and got my ESL teaching certificate, but haven't put it to use yet. I know a lot about Salt Lake City, so if you've got questions just ask. I'm not Mormon, but my Grandparents were, and I know a lot about the "strange customs" so if you have any questions, just ask!

For some reason I'm drawn to Latin America. Maybe it's the proximity to the States. I've surfed couches in Europe and had a blast. I used to like fishing, but I don't go very often any more. I used to like golf and ski, but I don't do that much any more. I've always liked drinking beer, and it's funny, but that's one thing I've stuck with!
