From the latest what I read and liked: John Maxwell Coetzee "Diary of a Bad Year" and Haruki Murakami "Kafka on the Shore". The movies: I like films by Woody Allen and Darren Aronofsky; Limitless, Carnage, 50/50, Waltz with Bashir, books and films by Stephen Hawking. George Carlin is great:)
