As long as it's well-written, I can handle any genre. But actually, I'm a little biased towards crime and detective stories :) Also, as of recently, i started to read quite a lot of reportages. And even though it's not the same as experiencing and seeing things for yourself, these books can spark some new interests. I'm not too big of a fan when it comes to musicals and romantic comedies. I do enjoy British TV series. I find British humour (that's a sweeping generalization obviously) incredibly smart. And Conan O'Brien too. His self-deprecating jokes are hilarious.

language in itself - how it functions and why actually. How its use differs accross various language communities. How it evolved and from what. Trying to find traces of this evolution in modern speech is a small hobby of mine and particular languages, just learning new ones and constantly trying to compare and contrast them with the ones I already know. travelling (surprisingly),reading, cycling, films - I watch way too many than I have time for.
