While I am completing my PhD over in Ontario, I am maintaining this address as an option for couchsurfers for a few very good reasons: 1) My parents are avid world travellers and would be more than welcome to host any and all fellow explorers; (also, they speak pretty good Spanish); 2) The location is one of the best ways to see Saskatchewan's beauty. Get off the highway and into the hills. The house is located at White Bear Lake Resort, in a forest just 10 mins south of Moose Mtn Provincial Park and 15 mins north of the town of Carlyle; 3) My old bedroom is vacant and I can attest to comfort!

Your hosts may be either my parents or my brother and his wife. My parents have lived in the area for 40 years, my dad built the house. They can direct you to interesting sights, good restaurants, and you will be amidst a beautiful set of hiking or skiing trails and right on a lake. Golf course nearby too. Just up the road are waterslides. My brother and sister-in-law are couch surfers and travellers as well. They live just up the road, but also in White Bear. Language note: While we are mostly a unilingual English family, French is manageable and my parents speak a fair bit of Spanish.
