films: i love everything directed by shane meadows! spirited away, the edukators, amelie, 24 hour party people, pan's labyrinth, juno, the lives of others, papillon, princess mononoke. i have a bit of a soft spot for world cinema music: i love going to gigs and festivals :) i like to dance to dub and my ears are always happy when listening to indie and folk. some of my favourite bands: grizzly bear, caribou, four tet, deerhunter, atlas sound, beach house, do make say think, elliott smith, the tallest man on earth, animal collective books: anything by jonathan safran foer and margret atwood, hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, 1984, to kill a mockingbird, brave new world, the crysalids, the bell jar.
