Sometimes I forget to turn off the light, but otherwise I'm quite thrifty and could live on a very small income. PHILOSOPHY Redefining myself every couple of years, I try to focus on what really matters - Until some time ago, I didn't like meeting new people, talking, making friends. Now, however, it has changed dramatically :> - I'm keeping an eye on each potential fellow-wanderer and friend :).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING Hosting several people, enjoying surfing at other people's houses, popularising the idea :) COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE It's absolutely amazing how the world of lively, interesting and funny people suddenly opens and gives millions of possibilities of contact. I am and will be impressed by this. And try to spread the spirit.

Three days of silence and meditation during a soul-seeking 'school'. I would have to speak for another three days to describe things one notices in oneself and in the world during such a challenge.

Travels, literature, philosophy, cultures, music, coffee, teaching (esp. children), theatre, languages, all things Dutch, yoga and meditation. I try to read at least one new book a week. And I tend to reread all the books I've got on the shelves.
