I am unapologetically nerdy, progressive, and queer. You don't have to be anything like me, but as long you respect who I am we'll get along great :) Been on CS for 15 years now. Still love and appreciate it. Currently cannot host because I live with a partner who's not into Couchsurfing, but I keep my profile at "Maybe" because you can send me a message if you'd like to go camping in the mountains together. My first experience surfing a couch was on Sado Island. The couple, Daniel and Aya, were really nice, and partially because of them I really fell in love with the island! Meeting locals is really the best way to know a place. I'm on Couchsurfing to keep meeting new travelers and friends along the way. Now I've settled in Tucson a bit, I'm looking forward to hosting again cause it's been quite a while. If you catch me on a weekend, you may get an invite to come camping with me.

During summer of 2021, I was part of the reception response during the evacuation of Afghanistan to the US. We were on a military base accepting plane-fulls of families. We were trying to both to help them feel comfortable during that difficult time, and trying to find them places around the country to formally resettle in.
