My name is Sophia and I am a solo female traveler who is fully vaccinated (Pfizer; Apr 2021) who works as a luxury travel agent and loves meeting new people, near and far! I have been traveling regularly since 2001- 55+ countries and counting! I have not seen much of Europe, I have been all over the map from Africa to Central America, South America, Southeast Asia and everywhere in between. I grew up on a tiny island named Martha's Vineyard but spent many years in Boston, with most winters spent in Mexico working on my Spanish. I re-joined couchsurfing not only to save a little money while on the road, but mainly because my travels have taught me that the best way to get to know a new country or a new culture is through the locals! I love meeting new people, trying new things, and exchanging ideas along the way. I believe that cross-cultural engagement and exchange is the key to a happy and healthy world 👌
