B-52s ABOUT ME During college I worked a variety of jobs (including a barrista at 2 different coffee shops and a bartender at a hole-in-the-wall bar in my hometown). I graduated in the Spring of 2009 from the University of Iowa. I taught English in Southern China for two years post-college. I now live and work in Columbus, Ohio. PHILOSOPHY You can't leave footprints in the sands of time by sitting on your butt...and you don't want to leave butt prints in the sands of time. Whatever you do, do it with a smile on your face.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I would be happy to grab a coffee and chat or get dinner one evening. My living situation is not really conducive to hosting guests, unfortunately COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE While I lived abroad in China, I hosted over a dozen travelers and got the opportunity to travel to Beijing and crash on a couch.

MOVIES: Comedies starring ex/current-SNL actors, Horrors, movies with singing celebrities. I like a wide variety of genres. MUSIC: Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Owl City, Gary Go, Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Jay Chou...If I can sing along to it, then I will probably like it. BOOKS: Historical fiction is my favorite book genre - The Pillars of the Earth, World Without End, People of the Book...you get the idea.

I like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain...however I am into yoga, so I guess the entire song doesn't ring true for me. I love photography, cooking new foods, big sunglasses, trying new things, traveling/exploring, caffeine - I appreciate good coffee, American TV serieses..the list is endless.
