CURRENT MISSION Work! Pay off bills! (I know, lame eh?) -- well just for a little while ... ABOUT ME I've enjoyed traveling just over 20 countries, and if I don't leave this country a couple of times a year ... I start to go crazy! Maybe that is why I'm a bit crazy ... âÃâ¬ÃËcuz I have just not been leaving it enough ... I've traveled in a lot of different ways, sleeping in hostels, bed and breakfasts, resorts, and train stations -- and "couch surfing!" -- but not through CS, but through friends of friends, contacts made on the road, etc. Actually, when I think about it, it is surprising how much I have couch surfed -- not generally out of simply finding a cheap place to stay, but mostly out of meeting more people, building community, and being a real part of the local culture! Eating baguette of bread and drinking a $2 bottle of French wine while sitting on the roof of the Notre Dame; Going into the back jungle temples in the region of Angkor Wat; Laying on the edge of a 600 ft cliff on the western shore off Galway; Standing at the Shaolin Temple; Returning home, contemplating life, existence and enlightenment, and then leaving again.
