I first couchsurfed in Chicago headed to Lollapalooza with a friend. I've since used CS for nearly all of my travels and vacations, including Nashville and LA, and have hosted people, too. Why pay for hotels when you can stay with new friends for free?

Hopping on a Greyhound in the middle of the night to catch a plane in Houston, slept in the station until the city buses started running. Amazing yet terrifying. Also walking through a labyrinth in Malibu... that was cool.

I enjoy all kinds of art, including literature and music. I love local shops and venues and people... and coffee. It's the small town people that create the heart of a city. Getting to know people is what makes life interesting because, big or small, everyone you meet makes an impact on your life.
