CURRENT MISSION To find love, truth, and my car keys. Not necesarilly in that order... ABOUT ME I could not tell "all about me" in a tiny white box...I am a teacher in the mountains of North Carolina. I love my work and the freedom and opportunities it affords me. I also love this area of the US...it is some of the most beautiful country in the world that I've seen so far. I really enjoy getting to know people, especially people from other places. That's one of the main reasons I joined this community...I want to visit people and host people from diverse walks of life. PHILOSOPHY I'd rather die while I'm living than live while I'm dead.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have surfed the world a little bit, but I absolutely loved Ireland. Me, my dad, and best friend drove much of the country, and we stayed in Bed and Breakfasts throughout the country. The people of Ireland are such a class-act!

Movies...hm...I like just about anything that's well written and well acted. Music, my tastes are somewhat varied, but some of my favs include: Dave Matthews Band, Hootie, Jimmy Buffet, Counting Crows, Genesis, Phil Collins, Norah Jones, Sinatra, Cake, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Barenaked Ladies, and others. Books: I am currently attempting to tackle the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I never read it as a kid, and am shamed to say that it took the movies coming out to get me interested. One thing's for sure, I never should have bought the blasted trilogy all in one book!

Back in '05, I was in Italy with a tour group. One of the more unexpected destinations of the trip was Lake Guarda. If you have never seen this place, you must; it is beautiful!
