My Philosophy It’s okay if you can’t help others. It’s okay if you don’t have the solutions. But what’s not okay is turning others into the subject of gossip. Gossip is the most uncivilized act of our time — a careless play on emotions and integrity. In a discussion, the focus is what’s right. In an argument, it’s who’s right. But in gossip, nothing needs to be right — and no one is held accountable. It helps no one and harms many, often in their absence. If we can’t help someone, can we at least not hurt them? If we can’t wipe away someone’s tears, can we at least not be the reason they cry?
