HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I've surfed in the USA, Israel and Norway and have hosted visitors both in the Czech Republic and in Spain. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE So many great things about couchsurfing...with this community, you are never alone when you travel. All my couchsurfing experience is unforgettable. This idea has made the world a smaller and friendlier place! I thoroughly enjoy both surfing and hosting. Unfortunately, recently I've also been a bit disillusioned with CS, due to some surfers who obviously don't have the true CS spirit and are only looking for a free place to stay, and who don't keep in touch, confirm on time or don't even show up. From now on, I'm going to choose my guests more carefully. Those of you who are truly interested in getting to know me, when writing your couch request, send me an idiom/proverb/joke from your country (as I'm interested in learning languages). I don't feel like hosting people who don't even read my profile and don't explain - honestly- why they really want to meet me rather than some of the Spanish locals. That's why I will only reply to people who prove they have read this.

I like films which stay with you longer than the moment you leave the cinema. Books-read a lot and many different genres,it's difficult to pick even a few books. But recently I've read lots of postcolonial literature; I really like Jhumpa Lahiri, Alice Munro, Margaret Atwood, ... I like many kinds of music; I'm discovering new artists at the moment - e.g. some Scandinavian and Spanish musicians. But my all time favorites are Alanis Morisette, U2, Cechomor, ZAZ.
