Hi, I’m Ahmed! I’m a tech enthusiast, community builder, and aspiring engineer from Alexandria, Egypt Growing up without access to fancy STEM labs, I learned early on that if the tools you need don't exist, you have to build them yourself I turned a tiny corner of my bedroom into an "innovation corner" and built a solar-powered, pollution-detecting robot out of scavenged electronic waste But along the way, I realized that building gadgets isn't enough; building communities is where the real magic happens That realization led me to organize the first TEDx event in my public school and found a local club (SPARK) to teach robotics to kids who had never touched a circuit before Now, as I head into my gap year, I’m trading my local innovation corner for the global stage. I am incredibly excited to step out of my comfort zone, immerse myself in new cultures, and connect with people from all walks of life I’m traveling to collect stories, learn from diverse perspectives, and share the warmth and resilience of my Egyptian roots Whether we are exploring a new city, hiking a trail, or just sharing a cup of tea, I promise to bring a curious mind, a collaborative spirit, and an open heart to our exchange!

我不擅长但仍然乐在其中的事情是……
learning things the "traditional" way. I have always struggled to sit still and memorize textbook formulas, my high school grades can definitely vouch for that! But I absolutely love engineering. Instead of reading an instruction manual, I prefer grabbing a screwdriver, tearing things apart, and figuring out how they work through pure trial and error. So, if you have anything broken around your house, I’ll happily make a mess and try to fix it with you!
