Couchsurfing is an awesome way to travel almost as if you where an actual citizen because it easies the hard-to-break barrier of being an outsider in the visiting place. Meeting people at the place you travel is, in my opinion, esential, it gives the chance not only to share the experiences of the trip, but also to get to know the culture and habits of the people living there.
