Looking for insight into what it's like to live in the places I'm visiting. I don't think there's a better way to do that then staying with someone who has experienced the culture in a way I will never be able to.

I tend to prefer instrumental music over the lyrical. Post-rock is my favourite genre. During my trip to India, I found that I really love Bollywood music. Books are more difficult to pin down. I try to broaden my horizons with every novel I read. For me, anthropology and fiction are one and the same, for they both show our humanity.
