Hi, my name is Alex from Germany. In early 2023 I left my apartment, university and Germany to travel the world. After a year of many countries, amazing people and unforgettable experiences, I am on my way to the Caribbean, where I will be taking a job as a diving instructor for the next few months.

Knowing how difficult and expensive it can be to stay in a foreign city, i would like to offer my help - especially since I could already gather some great experiences with this concept outside of "couchsurfing". One of my goals while travelling is to experience new and different ways of living. I'm not interested in the tourist-experience but what it means to actually live there.

I would describe my taste in music as pretty diverse. Mainly, i am interested in indie, hip-hop, jazz, rock/Metall and classic piano. But I am always on the lookout for new, exciting music - not necessarily limited to the German or English language. A few book recommendations: Anna Karenina - Tolstoi Homo Faber - Max Frisch Deep - James Nestor Steppenwolf - Hermann Hesse Finally, I'd like to deeply recommend the 2023 released movie "The Banshees of Inisherin". Even though the Critics were not particularly kind to this, and i am not a fan of the official trailers (since they are not able to convey the movies atmosphere), this movie is an absolute masterpiece.

Even though it is sometimes challenging while traveling,I am trying to practice yoga daily. I am a yoga teacher (with very little teaching experience) and love introducing others to the practice or simply practice together.
