CURRENT MISSION To meet people all over this crazy planet. I want to learn more about myself and the world. ABOUT ME I'm really into learning and experiencing different walks of life. When I travel, as much as possible I would like to live like a common person. I am a University Professor, in the field of Education (teacher prep). I love music: "indie", punk, classic country music, blues, jazz, hip hop, jungle, r&b, motown, I also love comic books, my favorite writers being Garth Ennis and Warren Ellis. my politics lean left of center, but I have friends and accept people of all persuasions. I tend to avoid conflict unless I deem it necessary to confront someone. I've spent way too much time NOT traveling and meeting new people. I have decided it is time for me to push my boundaries and learn as much as I can about other people and places, and most importantly, my self. PHILOSOPHY As a young child, I used to believe in a stark contrast between right and wrong. Reading about the world and experiencing extreme hate and love, after being a public school teacher, I have realized that for better or for worse, there are just different shades of grey (sounds so cliche). I can see the good and the bad in most all things, I choose to accept things for the way they are, but I also believe that positive change and social justice is completely necessary. i also realize that I tend to ramble on, in writing and in personal conversations... actions speak louder than words.
