Hey guys!:) I am Alexa from Hungary, currently living in Budapest and studying medicine. I am in my fifth year now, so I am almost a doctor. 😀 When I was at high school I took part in a lot of students exchange and town-twinning programs. I enjoyed getting to know new cultures through a "local eye" , meeting foreign people and made friends with them. I think that was the time when travelling over the world became my huge dream. I always have a new destination in my mind :) I am an open minded, cheerful and easy-going person who tries to enjoy what life can offers. I like spending time in nature and exploring the hidden places. Especially seashores because I'm amazed by underwater life. In my free time I also love reading, going out with friends, drawing, doing sports e.g. swimming, cross training or pilates. Another thing is I'm fond of eating😀, huge fan of Italian quisine and everything sweet. I am constantly learning new things in the kitchen. I know it isn't much but hopefully you can find some pieces of information that will make you curious enough to get to know me.:)

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
Through the exchange programs I experienced the kindness and generousity of my hosts and how adventouros it can be to stay with locals. So that's why I decided to try couchsurfing. Unfortunately, I can't host you because I live in a student hostel in Budapest, but I am happy to meet up and show you our beautiful capital.:)

I basically listen to almost every kind of music from rock, electronics to alternative and sometimes classical as well depending on my current mood. Truth to tell I rather like songs, not singers/bands. I going to festivals, I always get new ones to my favorites. The atmosphere is amazing there. Here are some of them: Coldplay, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kings of Leon, The Script, Linkin Park, Nickelback, Imagine Dragons, Robin Schulz, Avicii, hungarian alternative bands. Sadly, I am not spending so much time on reading as I would like to. I grew up on the Harry Potter series and I still can't get bored of it even if I'm 24. But I also love historical, crime stories and books with deaper meaning. When it comes to movies wheter at home or at the cinema, I am omnivorous yet picky. If I have to mention some, they would be comedies, fantasies, thrillers and horrors as well.

I would like to learn about your culture, dishes, stories, dance etc., in exchange I can gladly teach you some hungarian language and cook you some delicious traditional food one night. At least I'll try 😀
