Hi everyone, My name is Alex Macias. I'm a 22 year old college graduate who loves to learn, cook, and travel. I'm moving to Peru on August 19th to start my two and a half year Peace Corps assignment as a Youth Development facilitator.

This summer I'm interning with the YMCA doing Youth programming and I'm planning on taking a trip to Canada this August (August 9th-August 16th). Since money is tight and I'm doing an unpaid internship I thought I would try out Couchsurfing. One of the most appealing things about Couchsurfing to me is the possible exchange of ideas and ways of living. As well as just being able to meet new people. I'm a very flexible person and don't expect much in terms of accommodation as long as I have somewhere to sleep I'll be fine. and I love to travel I thought I would try out Couchsurfing. I love

I love learning and I see the world as a huge mystery to solve or at least try to better understand. My academic interests are in Latin American studies, history, politics, critical theory, gender studies, film, art, and many more. I love foreign films, art,activism, helping others, cooking, photography, hiking,music trying new things, good conversations, and binge watching Netflix.
