To meet people from different cultural backgrounds and share experiences

My favorite author is Herman Hesse and I think Steppenwolf is one of his most prominent philosophical works. I’m interested in Buddhism so I found his book Siddhartha of much value too. Demian was okay, it’s about the transition from childhood to adulthood so I think I would’ve found it invaluable if I had read it couple of years earlier. There are so many books that have caused certain impact on me that the list can go on forever. I think discipline is at the core of everything, so I like reading books about it too. Discipline equals freedom, and Nothing can hurt me - are both incredible. One of them has inspired me to run. Stoicism is also about building mental toughness so there are numerous great works of the ancient stoics such as Meditations, Letters from Seneca and On the shortness of life by Epicurus. They are priceless and absolutely timeless.
