I live in Europe, but I don’t have a fixed address. From spring to autumn I work at English camps in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. It’s pretty cliche but it’s true. I absolutely loved my hosting experiences, but as you can see, I have been a guest more than a host. This is largely because I have been in Europe for five years, but mostly as an au pair and working in English camps. When I have been an au pair, I have to ask the family I stay with before hosting. Usually this is not a problem, but the main reason I haven’t hosted more is simply because I have stayed with families in small towns where couchsurfers rarely visit, so I hardly get any requests.
