Current: 14/30 Trying to experience travel authentically, ethically and as locally as possible I was born in Angola, grew up in Portugal and now I am living and studying my MSc in the beautiful city of Cardiff. I travel to see the world, but I also travel to see myself, to try and decipher where I fall in the broader framework of humanity. I travel to figure out what is truly important, and I travel to appreciate home.

I love meeting new people and think that staying with a local is a great experience on both sides. As a host, I feel like sharing my studio apartment in Cardiff is something good I can do for the world, even if in a small way. It makes me happy to help people enjoy Cardiff, which is an expensive city. I also love to see the smiles on guests' faces when they see the view from my apartment. As a guest, I hope to meet new people and practice speaking other languages (and maybe even learn new ones). I am flexible about whether we spend time together or not, and promise to be an easy, respectful guest.
