I've loved Canberra ever since I moved here 7 years ago as a student and after I graduated I stayed on to work. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with my life work-wise, so to compensate I try to spend as much time doing the things I love as possible. I haven't travelled as much as I would have liked and this is mostly due to the fact that I am shocking when it comes to saving my money, but I have had a few great experiences. I'm a big fan of the 'active holiday' and my ultimate trip would involve running distance events all around the world.

To give hosting a go and give back a little! My partner and I live in a two bedroom terrace in Canberra's inner north. When we started renting our current place we figured we should have a spare room for when our out-of-town family and friends visit. We feel a little bad that to date the room has spent 95% of the time being a clothes-drying room and would like to open it up to visitors with the intent of changing Canberra's reputation as a 'boring' place.
音乐、电影与书籍
Music: I like most things, and I have a special nostalgia for the 90s and early 2000s music of my childhood/early teen years. Even the stuff that wasn't that great. I am beginning to reach the point where I feel old at festivals (who are these young whipper snappers!?) and am more sensitive to loud music. Movies: I don't go to the movies much, but when I do I will probably eat ALL the popcorn before the film starts. I know we said we were going to share....sorry about that. Books: I recently became the proud owner of a kobo and am training my brain to think that reading off it counts as 'screen time' - which has been quite successful so far. Last year I finally finished 'A Suitable Boy' by Vikram Seth and it was 1400 pages. It was like carrying around a brick. I love dystopian fiction and fake a lot of enthusiasm about reading 'the classics' (which I define as any book older than me that I can feel confident saying that I have read among people who I don't necessarily like but am trying to impress) - but I did truly enjoy The Picture of Dorian Grey, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Handmaid's Tale, A Clockwork Orange and Brideshead Revisited.
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
In December 2014 I ran the Kepler Challenge in Te Anau, New Zealand - a 60km ultra marathon.

I don't have many talents (I'm more of a jack-of-all-trades kind of person), but I can put together a very good salad (especially if there is access to haloumi) and I can teach you how to fold a paper crane.
我的兴趣
I'll give basically anything a go at least once. But you will find me running, playing hockey (and poorly attempting to fit in on any one of a number of social sport teams), skiing, climbing, striking yoga poses with a low degree of flexibility, swimming, cycling, kayaking, hiking, reading, cooking and wasting time on social media fairly regularly.
