I'm originally from a small town in Illinois, but since 2003 I have lived in St. Louis, Washington, DC, and Chicago, with several months of stays in L.A. & Dallas as well.. I love to travel, relocate, and learn about new areas! I moved to Norfolk VA not too long after I met an awesome guy, my boyfriend Erik.. it was easy to relocate since at the time I met Erik, my cat and I were zig-zagging the country in search of marketing gigs and adventures. I'm happily settled for the foreseeable future in a fun and creative neighborhood near downtown Norfolk. Erik and I like to play guitar, ukulele, and a little keys & clarinet - I'm not exactly good, but I have fun! I love meeting people and learning about different perspectives, cultures and lifestyles.

I was originally on couchsurfing to help myself explore and get around different parts of the US that I was traveling to work for and fun. Now I'm interested in occasionally hosting, to pay it forward for the community.

Have you SEEN the new Beauty & the Beast? I can't help myself, I loved it. Otherwise, I'm an 80s kid.. Ferris Buellor, Adventures in Babysitting, Princess Bride, Drop Dead Fred. I like to keep my entertainment light :) The Wildwood book series was really fun to read, written by the lead singer of the Decemberists.

I love to meet new people and travel. I like to play with a hula hoop, craft, play in the dirt, practice yoga, meditation and ukulele, hike, be barefoot on the earth, drink craft beers and tasty cocktails, enjoy nature's medicinal treats, live music in small venues... prefer quiet & mellow scenes where flipflops are welcome & people are friendly.
