I just got back from a trip to Mexico City, Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia. It was a great cultural experience, and with the backdrop of US politics (and myself being an American abroad during tumultuous times) I gained some perspective on it all. Thing is I can't quite pinpoint it, or describe it, it's more of a feeling. Kind of like Frank Ocean, I can somewhat describe his music, but it's just better to play "pyramids." The feeling is "pyramids." I don't have anything wise to say. I don't contribute to anything politically in any way. I see people post some remarkable things on facebook, or share worthy articles, or participate in marches and protests--I sit powerless in despair and self-loathing. But not anymore. I will embark on a cross country train trip for 32 days. I begin in Sacramento and have stays in Salt Lake City, Denver, Omaha, Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, DC, New York, and Boston. I hope to gain even more perspective on this trip and talk to people--this time Americans. On a lighter note, I hope to get drunk at least once in every single city. If you're up for joining me let me know! Also down for coffee, eating, and sightseeing!

我为什么使用Couchsurfing
On my South American trip my brother used couch surfing to meet people and it was a huge success. It's great interacting with locals, exchanging cultures, and finding cool spots to hang out.
