CURRENT MISSION See the world while im still young ABOUT ME Hey my Names Derek I'm a fisherman from Maine and avid winter traveler. iv been all over meeting some of the coolest people and doing things i don't even believe are true. I love meeting new people and learning new things.I want to be proven wrong. It gives me the necessary reassurance that I have so much more to learn about life...and that even the most unsuspecting people can still surprise you. I've loved and lost, lost and found, and found that love is always lost...one way or another. I love myself and tell myself just how much I rock tits off. I'm not conceited...just confident. I've had life experiences. I don't claim to know more than you. But I bet I know things you don't for what it's worth. I keep a mental journal. I'm good at school. If you’re smarter than I am congrats. You have six more brain cells than I do. I'm as driven as the next person. The next person happens to be a drug addict...and an Olympic athlete. PHILOSOPHY Perhaps it's not about the grand spectacle. Perhaps it's about those small moments. Listening to vinyl with a girl you dig, having an absolutely amazing breakfast, or taking a walk through geneva with your friends and enjoying their company. A great concert, laughing until you can't catch your breath, or that moment when you realize that you're in love for the first time and how silly it feels. Maybe if you take all those simple little pleasures, those small obtainable moments, and add them up...that's what makes for a great life. Maybe. Hopefully.
