CURRENT MISSION Traveling in December and January! ABOUT ME Well hello everyone! I'm an easy-going American guy living in Boston for now. My father grew up in Istanbul Turkey, my mother in Ohio, so my sister and I grew up somewhere in between, getting some of both cultures. I'm a phd student at Boston University in biomedical engineering. I'm really interested in science and music. I play guitar in a few groups at school and always love to meet and learn from other musicians. PHILOSOPHY “We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it is forever....” - Carl Sagan I don't have a religion, but I was greatly affected by the Dalai Lama's writings on reality & morality: 'The aim of life is to be happy. The more concerned we are with the happiness of others, the more we increase our own well-being."

音乐、电影与书籍
Music is my drug. I have posters of Led Zeppelin, Incubus, and Flight of the Conchords in my room (and a lot of maps, now that I think about it!). Stuff I've listened to recently - Joshua Redman, Zero 7, Bob Marley, Jeff Buckley, Frank Sinatra, La Roux, Wire, Bill Evans, Primus I don't read as much as I'd like but hey who does. Some of my favorite recents: Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut (all his stuff is soo goood!), Foundation by Issac Asimov (once a Boston University graduate student as well!), Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson (super epic science fiction about the colonization of MARZZ)
我做过的一件令人惊叹的事
Zakir Hussain in concert might be the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Sailing small boats with friends in Bodrum Turkey is probably the most fun thing I've ever done.

Some things I've taught people are how to take care of your bicycle, how to cook vegan, how to play some chords on the guitar, how to do a headstand, how to solder electronics. If you have a Windows PC and it's acting funny sometimes (who's isn't? :P) I might be able to help you with that, perhaps. On my end, actively looking for people to play music with, more and better vegan recipes, and tips for being a good traveler.
